Get a job after a film / photography major?

I just started as a photography and film students. I love my major and can not imagine that study something else. But I am a bit worried about my future because of the high competition and my situation is already kind of sucky. car half dead, living in a friends house by renting a room, making just over a grand a month. I just want a little shred of peace of mind because I know the actual film and photography industries tend to be really competitive, so just in case I wanted to know if it is probable that I could if I needed to, get a retail management job eithier seller equipment such as Best Buy, Ritz Camera, etc. Or at a place like Blockbuster or Movie Stop, based on the fact that I would know the product is extreamly good and just having a degree? I appreciate the help and anyone who is involved in recruitment positions in such a place, would your advice be very helpful.

You do a degree in photography and film, and you have to work at Best Buy or Blockbuster?. If you have some passion for this, so you must adjust your standard very higher. Work in retail should be the very last thing you should consider!. What a waste of a degree and a waste of time. Harsh words, but I hope you understand where I come from. It sounds to me like you have given up already ..
